Interactive Designer

Kaplan, the world leader in test prep and admissions, is looking for a talented Interactive Designer to join our dynamic in-house creative agency. As part of our team, you will handle the conception, design and execution of visual materials for integrated cross-channel initiatives. Translating business objectives into creative solutions, you'll strategize, design, produce and champion solutions for a wide range of projects including websites, interactive marketing campaigns, user interfaces and other interactive projects across a range of markets. This is a hands-on creative development position in a driven, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilties:

- Design a large variety of projects from concept to implementation, including but not limited to: websites (internal/external); online product interfaces; HTML e-mail newsletters and templates; banner and rich media advertisements; Flash applications, presentations and interactive demos
- Work with coders and programmers to maintain quality and consistency on all interactive materials
- Participate in concept development efforts
- Manage own project workflow while coordinating with project teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals and assignments as needed
- Ensure successful representation of the Kaplan brand in the online sphere

Specific Skills

- Bachelor's degree in design or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of web/interactive experience; direct marketing experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of the web and interactive space
- Exceptional portfolio displaying advanced layout, typography, color and concept skills
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash; working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Dreamweaver
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and dependable; able to multitask, work quickly and meet multiple deadlines
- Detail-oriented, resourceful and excellent follow-through
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with seasoned creative and marketing teams
- Professional work ethic and a team player
